John Cargill serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Advanced Clinical, where he leads global business development, marketing, proposals, contracts, and commercial operations. He is responsible for driving growth across the company's full-service clinical development, FSP, and strategic resourcing solutions while strengthening relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors worldwide.
John brings more than 20 years of life sciences and CRO industry experience, having held leadership roles spanning clinical operations, business development, proposals, marketing, contracts, and commercial strategy. Throughout his career, he has led global commercial organizations, supported growth initiatives across biotechnology and pharmaceutical markets, and helped organizations strengthen client partnerships through technology-enabled and flexible delivery models.
Prior to joining Advanced Clinical, John served as Chief Commercial Officer at Premier Research, Cecelia Health, and Clinipace, where he led global commercial teams and growth initiatives. He has also held senior leadership positions at Covance and Chiltern, building extensive expertise across full-service clinical research, FSP solutions, clinical analytics, and outsourced development models.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and is passionate about advancing clinical research through innovation, operational excellence, and strong client partnerships that help bring new therapies to patients worldwide.
