OVERVIEW
We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as a Senior Laboratory Technician in Santa Rosa, CA. The Senior Lab Tech role plays a key role in supporting analytical testing within a regulated laboratory environment. This position is responsible for processing and analyzing samples using GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS instrumentation, reviewing data for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.

SHIFT
11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sample processing and analysis.
• Accurately identify samples and confirm the correct sequencing for each testing batch.
• Process data acquired from analytical instruments and generate the corresponding laboratory reports.
• Perform first-level review of analytical data (GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS) in accordance with specific assay SOPs.
• Transcribe or upload validated results to the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.
• Maintain proper Chain of Custody (CoC) documentation for all tested samples.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and promptly escalate any issues or anomalies encountered during testing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

EXPERIENCE
1 year of laboratory experience preferred, preferably in an analytical testing environment.

EDUCATION
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.

To be a best-fit your strengths must include:
• Familiarity with GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS instrumentation and related software is highly desirable.
• Ability to work safely with biological specimens, chemicals, and laboratory equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
