OVERVIEW
We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as a Contract Research Scientist in Foster City, CA. The Research Scientist role will design and execute experiments to support targeted integration and cell line development for our rapidly growing biologics pipeline. The successful candidate will also contribute to the overall strategy of new technology development projects. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proficiency with CHO cell culture.
• Ability to manage high-throughput cell culture screens (5,000 clonal cell lines simultaneously)..
• Experience with single cell cloning, hitpick, and scale-up of suspension cell lines.
• Registration of cell lines in the electronic notebook and documentation of cell growth metrics.
• Willing to learn hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and novel culture platforms.
• Contribute to written technical reports, Regulatory filing support, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
• Onsite role with 100% in-lab focus for cell culture execution.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Bachelors or Masters in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering) with 10 years of experience, or PhD with 2 years of experience
