OVERVIEW
We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as a Project Manager in Foster City, CA. The Project Manager will lead end-to-end procurement integration activities for acquisitions, translating deal strategy into executable plans that ensure continuity of spend, supplier stability, and policy compliance. Their work will have a direct impact on successful M&A integrations and business continuity, making this a highly visible and strategic career opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and own the procurement integration roadmap, including Day 1 readiness, interim operations, and steady-state transition
• Develop and manage detailed project timelines, dependencies, and critical path activities across supplier onboarding, contracting, purchase orders, invoicing, and system transitions
• Identify integration risks and proactively drive mitigation plans (e.g., supplier continuity, invoice approval gaps, ownership transitions)
• Partner with the Integration Management Office (IMO) to align procurement activities with broader integration milestones
E2E Procurement Process Design
• Design and document end-to-end procurement workflows (Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay) for integration scenarios
• Develop swimlane process maps defining roles and responsibilities across Procurement, Finance, Legal, AP, and business stakeholders
• Establish differentiated workflows for:
o Existing vs. new suppliers
o Existing vs. new spend
o Critical/expedited supplier scenarios
o Dual-system environments
Cross-Functional Governance & Decision Support
• Establish governance frameworks for supplier and contract decisions (retain, terminate, amend)
• Ensure clear ownership of suppliers, contracts, purchase orders, and invoice approvals throughout integration
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment on budgets, spend thresholds, contract ownership, and supplier communications
• Act as a neutral facilitator to resolve ambiguity and drive timely decision-making
Supplier & Contract Transition Management
• Identify critical suppliers and contracts in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and business teams
• Support contract lifecycle activities including review, amendment, termination, and novation
• Coordinate supplier communications regarding acquisition changes, onboarding, and billing updates
• Ensure continuity of supplier performance during transitions
Systems & Controls Enablement
• Design and coordinate procurement system strategies, including dual-system operations and system cutovers
• Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to establish interim controls and audit-ready processes
• Ensure continuity of payments and minimize disruption during system transitions
• Support reconciliation and reporting across systems
Documentation, Training & Change Management
• Develop integration playbooks, process documentation, and role-based guidance
• Create approval matrices, escalation frameworks, and reusable integration artifacts
• Support training for stakeholders on new or interim workflows
• Capture lessons learned and continuously improve integration standards
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, finance operations, or transformation roles required
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs required
Direct experience supporting M&A integrations required
Deep understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes required
Hands-on experience with procurement and finance systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, NetSuite, contract lifecycle tools) required
EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline required
