Position Overview:

We are seeking a Manager, CMC Project Management to support our well known client’s Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) project planning and execution within a dynamic Technical Operations and Quality organization. This hybrid contract role is based in Cambridge, MA, and is ideal for a motivated professional with 3–5 years of biopharma experience in both early- and late-stage product development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain CMC project plans and timelines for commercial product life cycle management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with CMC leads and stakeholders in Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Process Sciences, Supply Chain, and Quality to establish or update project plans.
  • Track and revise Early-Stage CMC development templates using Smart Sheet, ensuring alignment with current process updates.
  • Support CMC PMs and functional leads in identifying opportunities for improvement, optimizing resource planning and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates and process improvements to the broader CMC Project Management team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in life sciences or engineering strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in CMC project management or drug development within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with CMC development stages (Early Phase I/II and Commercial/Late Phase) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Smart Sheet.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
