Job Posting: Process Engineer I (Onsite)
Location: Morrisville, NC 27560
Schedule: Full Time, 5 Days a Week (Occasional weekends for 3-4 hours)
Hours: EST (Eastern Standard Time)

Position Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and flexible Process Engineer I to join our Pilot Scale Development team. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the development of manufacturing recombinant proteins at the pilot scale (50-1000L) and will assist in the execution of fed-batch platform development. The position will be based onsite at our Research Triangle Park, NC location. The ideal candidate will have experience in a laboratory setting, possess a strong work ethic, and contribute to achieving CMC milestones and 2025 pilot goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate stainless and single-use equipment from thaw to DS fill, supporting lab work to achieve CMC milestones.
• Plan, document, and analyze experiments using modeling tools to predict processes.
• Assist with tech transfers to manufacturing facilities.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and commission equipment as needed.
• Support lab productivity and upgrades while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation projects.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations across pilot-scale development activities.

Qualifications:

• Solid background in laboratory settings, preferably with experience in biologics development at any scale.
• Experience with sterile techniques is highly desirable.
• Ideal candidate will be a flexible, fast learner with a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, documentation, computer, and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a laboratory environment or biotechnology company is preferred.
