Research and Development Associate II – QC Microbiology

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research and Development Associate I to join the Quality Control Microbiology team for our well known client. In this role, you will support key tactical and operational activities such as environmental monitoring, water sampling, and microbiological testing under GMP guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess foundational scientific lab experience, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with quality teams in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and provide hands-on support for microbiological testing.
• Ensure timely and accurate review of data and laboratory documentation; initiate deviations or exceptions as necessary.
• Support the maintenance of laboratory systems to ensure data integrity and GMP compliance.
• Participate in technical troubleshooting with guidance and escalate issues when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team and project goals.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s (AS), Bachelor’s (BS), or technical degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience: 0–2 years in a similar scientific lab role; some experience working under cGMP guidelines is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

• Collaborative work environment within the QC Microbiology team.
• Responsible for managing individual tasks and timelines with intermittent supervision.
• Routinely interfaces within own workgroup and supports shared departmental objectives.
