About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Associate Core Facility technician to support a dynamic core lab environment in Fremont, CA. This role is integral to supporting cell culture operations and stem cell differentiation activities, collaborating cross-functionally with teams across R&D and operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce differentiated cells from Pluripotent Stem Cells in compliance with SOPs.
  • Perform mammalian cell culture (2D and 3D bioreactor), reagent preparation, and buffer solution preparation.
  • Execute large-scale filtration and chemical handling processes.
  • Support daily lab operations including inventory management, log sheet completion, and materials movement.
  • Collaborate with MSAT and assay services teams on method development and processing.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and notebooks.
  • Perform equipment upkeep, maintenance tasks, and support facility start-up activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Assist with laboratory supply ordering and inventory tracking.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Process Development and other internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • AS with 6+ years OR BS with 5+ years in life sciences or related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of hands-on mammalian cell culture experience (adherent and suspension).
    • Familiarity with aseptic technique strongly preferred.
    • Experience writing SOPs and maintaining lab notebooks preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and on diverse teams.

    • Agile, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
    • Availability to support weekend work as needed.
    • Able to lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive lab work requiring dexterity.
