Deerfield, IL (September 10, 2018) – Advanced Clinical, a clinical research services organization providing CRO, FSP, Strategic Resourcing and Consulting Services, today announced its partnership with the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) as a founding member of the Gender Parity Collaborative. The new collaborative aims to advance initiatives fostering measurable gender parity progress in the industry. Beyond representing a substantial work force of more than 750,000 thousand employees collectively worldwide, the twelve founding member companies also serve as innovative role models with all twelve organizations supporting internal women’s leadership networks.

“We are proud to be a founding member of this game-changing partnership in healthcare,” said Julie Ross, Advanced Clinical’s president. “Respect, Excellence, Accountability, and Leadership (REAL) are our core values, and we are committed to creating a work place with gender parity where no single perspective dominates or silences another. In partnering with HBA’s Collaborative, we are taking bold action to close the gender gap and in doing so we will drive better business outcomes and lead real productive industry change.”

While similar corporate partnerships to advance workplace equality issues exist, HBA’s Collaborative is unique in that all member companies are in the healthcare and life science business. The twelve founding member companies include Advanced Clinical, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Celgene, Eli Lilly, GlaxoSmithKline, Medidata Solutions, Novartis, Pfizer, Quest Diagnostics, Roche-Genentech and Sanofi.

Another key differentiator is the future data and research to which the Collaborative companies are committing and supporting with leading global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. The HBA has recently become an industry champion of McKinsey & Company and LeanIn.org’s highly respected Women in the Workplace study.

Core to the vision of the Collaborative is the access and integration of metrics that will define current industry baselines and enable the HBA and Collaborative members to set future benchmarks, guide prioritization and demonstrate results. Advanced Clinical and the HBA is confident this unprecedented insight will inspire participating companies to collectively transform the parity and equity movement in their companies and our industry.
