OVERVIEW

We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as an Director, Program and Alliance Management. Their work will have a direct impact on not just the organization but the larger clinical industry making this an amazing career opportunity. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Director, Program and Alliance Management functions as a Global Program Manager
  • Drive the development and manage the execution of high quality, realistic, global, integrated strategic plans for one or more clinical & commercial phase drug development programs
  • The Global Program Manager ensures coordination of planning and execution with functional project managers
  • Exppected to apply project management best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control, and closing of projects
  • Lead and manage the Project Team operational activities
  • Recruit, lead, manage, coach and retain staff
  • Develop & maintain high performing teams
  • Ensure alignment between project and program strategies and plans
  • Generate high quality global strategic integrated project plans (IPP), risk management and communication Plans
  • Drive adherence to the Drug Development and governance processes, including delivery of timely and quality Project Team deliverables
  • Managee of Joint Development Teams as part of partnerships / alliances
  • Drive cross-functional resource, financial and capacity assessments
  • Apply best practice project management to drug development processes

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of ten years industry experience within the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare related field
  • Minimum of three years experience in managing and/or leading cross-functional drug development teams
  • Drug Development knowledge with advanced understanding of other functions; including, but not limited to, Research, Pre-Clinical, Clinical, Manufacturing and Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs
  • Application of Project Management tools, methodologies, practices
  • Working Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices
  • Risk Analysis, Decision Analysis and Contingency Planning

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a relevant field

  • Personable. You establish and nurture highly effective relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders that support and advance project goals and objectives   
  • Credible. Thorough understanding of clinical methodologies and providing sound analytical support, you quickly establish credibility as a reliable resource
