Risk Management

Risk is a big problem in clinical trials, and Advanced Clinical has a strong risk management approach to address issues and manage and optimize risk. Through this approach, we aim to maximize client results and effectively incorporate specific risk/issue resolution into usable processes and tools.

Our risk management “top-down” methodology recognizes the four broad types of risk present in clinical trials: operational, strategic, financial and market. We analyze these areas to assess project-specific risk, potential scale of impact and the likelihood of occurrence over the trial period.

Our “bottom-up” methodology consists of an operational assessment of maturity. We have a very strong model that has both quantitative and qualitative metrics to determine the operational maturity of our clients’ business areas, assessing against leading practices, known risks, key performance indicators (KPI), benchmarks as well as project retrospectives.

Comprehensively, we apply our top-down methodology, our past experience and our bottom-up team approach to:

  • Assess risks
  • Prioritize risks
  • Reduce uncertainty
  • Mitigate risks
  • Manage/monitor risks
  • Optimize procedures to reverse risks

We want success and advancement for your discovery's trial as much as you do, and risk management is one of our keys to success.
