Leo Sheridan
CEO and President, The Advanced Group


 

Leo is the founder, CEO and President of The Advanced Group of Companies .  For more than 20 years, AG has a history of success offering consulting services as well as clinical research and talent management solutions with ten offices in four metropolitan areas. Since 1994, Leo built a strategic Clinical Research solutions organization, Advanced Clinical (AC), to support the unique research and development needs for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. From the start of AC, Leo has driven Advanced Clinical’s fast evolution into a national company that delivers consulting, strategic sourcing, talent management, and eClinical technology solutions.

Leo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from St. Michael’s College in Vermont. He completed the Executive Management Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He has provided leadership to a variety of professional organizations, including the National Association of Computer Consulting Businesses, American Staffing Association and Young Presidents’ Organization.

  • Holds Certified Personnel Consultant and Certified Temporary Specialist designations

Julie Heneghan
Vice President, Advanced Clinical


 

Julie is Vice President of Advanced Clinical and has been in the outsourcing and staffing solutions industry for more than 20 years. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and direction of the Midwest and Eastern division and for shaping its future success regarding the implementation and execution of the group's goals. Julie’s has a wealth of expertise developing and delivering large global solutions across all elements of outsourcing and staffing. The solutions that Julie has sold and delivered include: Consulting Services, Strategic Sourcing (CRO functional/cross-functional sourcing, Managed Services as well as Program Management), Talent Management as well as Technology Platforms for Services provided.

Julie graduated in 1987 from Loyola University of Chicago, with a Bachelor of Arts in communications.

  • Referred to as the “consummate relationship management leader” by executives in the industry
  • Led the global talent management solution development and implementation for 3 of the top 10 Life Sciences companies in the world and has managed relationships across these accounts

Sean Gerstenlauer
Vice President, Advanced Clinical


 

Sean is Vice President of Advanced Clinical’s Western division and has over 17 years of sales management experience, the majority of those years with Advanced Clinical. Sean's ability to identify the building blocks of high performing teams has lead to consistent success doing so both internally, and with many Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device companies all over the Western US- these teams have been responsible for the approval and successful launch some of the most exciting therapies in the industry. Sean's keen grasp of Clinical research imperatives, holistic approach to relationship management, and fundamental talent management acumen have helped solidfy Advanced's reputation as one of the most respected vendors in the industry.

Dr. Christina Fleming, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Scientific and Medical Affairs, Advanced Clinical


 

Dr. Fleming is a highly respected leader in medical affairs and clinical services. As Executive Vice President of Scientific and Medical Affairs, Dr. Fleming is responsible for building, managing and leading a portion of Advanced Clinical’s service offerings, including medical writing, clinical monitoring, medical monitoring, safety operations, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and biometrics, which are all in line with her previous industry experience.

Dr. Fleming earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. In addition, Dr. Fleming has contributed to more than 40 life sciences publications and presentations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Outsourcing in Clinical Trials – East Coast, International Conference on Brain Tumor Research and Therapy, Annual Partnerships with CROs, and World Federation Society for Neuro-Oncology. Ms. Fleming is a current member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Association for Neuro-Oncology (EANO), the Drug Information Association (DIA) and the American Medical Writer’s Association (AMWA).
